Craig Harrison will take his New Saints team back to former club Airbus UK tomorrow.
The New Saints will travel to the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League leaders tomorrow hoping to make it five League wins on the bounce.
Harrison managed The Wingmakers from 2008 until 2011 and has some fond memories of his time at The Airfield, ‘I had a great time and I learnt a lot from my time there. I met some great people and I still keep in contact with a number people from the club. It is also where I first met my best friend Andrew Thomas.’
Since joining the Oswestry based TNS, the former Middlesbrough defender has led The Saints to two League titles and a Welsh Cup and admits that it will be great challenge to make it three titles in a row this season, ‘It is going to be very tough to win three titles in a row. It is very hard winning it once and it is even harder to try and keep that success going. Everyone at this football club have been spoilt because of the success that we have had. That goes right through from the fans to the Chairman, all of us at the club are used to winning games. The staff and the support from the Chairman means that we should be successful but we should also appreciate winning more because the League gets tougher year on year. There are no games where you can just turn up and win.’
Aaron Simms, Steve Evans and Scott Ruscoe will all miss the game due to injury.
Unbeaten this season, Airbus, were founded in 1946 and competed in Europe for the first time in club’s history earlier this season. Despite drawing 1-1 with FK Ventspils at home, they exited the Europa League on away goals after drawing 0-0 in Latvia.
Airbus UK are managed by Andy Preece and the former Stockport man guided them to a brilliant second placed finish in the League last season.
The Saints took on Airbus five times last season, winning four and losing one.
The referee will be Dean John.
The televised match will kick off at 15:45pm.
