The New Saints will take on Gap Connah’s Quay tomorrow in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League at Park Hall stadium.
After being knocked out of the Word Cup on Tuesday night, Craig Harrison will be determined to get back to winning ways but will unfortunately be without Connell Rawlinson after the tall centre back suffered a ankle ligament damage. The Director of Football will also be unable to call upon Ryan Fraughan, Steve Evans and Scott Ruscoe who are all still side lined.
The former Crystal Palace defender admits that it will be a tough game under the floodlights tomorrow night but is determined to get back to winning ways, ‘We want to get back to winning ways to continue our good League form because you have to remember that we have only lost once in the last ten League matches. We also have yet to concede at home this season and we are focused on continuing in the same vein.’
Gap Connah’s Quay are managed by former Wrexham defender, Mark McGregor and currently sit in fourth place in the Welsh Premier League. Nicknamed The Nomads, the club were founded in 1947 and play their games at Deeside Stadium.
The two sides have already faced each other this season with The Saints coming out on top in the match that took place on September the 13th. On that night, Chris Jones and Mike Wilde both scored braces to ensure a comfortable 4-0 away victory.
The last time the clubs faced each other at Park Hall stadium was back in December of last year. The Oswestry based side once again came out on top despite a goal from current Cardiff City striker, Rhys Healey. Goals from Mike Wilde, Phil Baker, Sam Finley, Chris Marriott and Greg Draper sealed an emphatic 5-1 success.
The referee for the game will be Mr Mark Whitby.
The match will kick off at 19:45pm and tickets are available from the link below.
