The New Saints Football Club will take on Rhyl FC tomorrow night at Park Hall stadium.
The Welsh Premier League match will kick off at 19:45pm and it will be the first time that TNS has played in two weeks after the postponement last weekend.
The two teams recently played each other at the Corbett Sports Stadium and thanks to goals from Greg Draper and Sam Finley, The Saints came out victors in what was a comfortable two nil win.
Rhyl who are nicknamed The Lilywhites are managed by former Bolton Wanderers man Greg Strong and currently sit in 6th place. Last season Rhyl were promoted from the Huws Gray Alliance after winning 29 of their 34 League fixtures and scoring 95 goals along the way.
The two clubs met last season in the last 16 of the Welsh Cup, with The Saints running out 5-1 victors thanks to goals from Chris Seargeant, Matty Williams, Kai Edwards, Ryan Fraughan and Mike Wilde.
Craig Harrison spoke ahead of the game and said, ‘We have had a great home run both last season as well as this one. We want to keep the excellent run going and if we win tomorrow night, it will mean that we have gone a whole year without losing a game at home. Not only that but we would have won every single match that we have played here.’
However, the former Premier League defender warned that Rhyl will pose a threat to the run, ‘They will come here with nothing to lose and have won their least two matches. They have got good footballers that try and play football but even if they sit back and counter attack, which I suspect they will, it is up to us to break them down. We need to be patient because the victory is certainly not a foregone conclusion.’
The referee for the match will be Mr I.Griffiths.
