The TNS Under 13’s beat Rhyl by nine goals to nil.
The Saints opened the scoring after five minutes thanks to Harry Bower.
Jack Vale made it two nil before Bower added two more goals to complete a first half hat-trick.
The Saints started the second half well and Darren Evans, who was playing on the wing, added another with a neat finish.
Liam Ihekwoaba scored his first TNS goal and Evans scored the 7th of the game moments after.
The prolific Evans then completed his hat-trick before Haci Ozlu completed the rout and scored the 9th goal of the game with an excellent finish from outside the box, to score his first of the season.
Jason Brindley was delighted with his team and said, ‘I am really pleased that the lads have given that performance after not playing an 11 a side match together for over a month. The conditions were poor but the team didn’t let that affect them. We played some fantastic football, keeping possession well and not giving Rhyl much of a chance. Harry Bower was a constant thorn in the side of the Rhyl defence, constantly getting behind, scoring a hat-trick but also creating a lot of chances. Owen Platt dictated the tempo in the middle, Haci Ozlu and Zac Davies played alongside him and were keeping possession and moving the ball brilliantly. Darren Evans kept his phenomenal goal scoring record going with another hat-trick. The team is playing with a real swagger at the moment.’
The team consisted of Lewis Dutton, Mikey Evans, Tom Halliday, Ben Pritchard, Zac Davies, James Parry, Owen Platt, Liam Ihekwoaba, Harry Bower, Jordan Tipping, Tomos Williams, Darren Evans, Sam Jones, James Gregory Cork, Jack Vale and Haci Ozlu.
