The Oswestry Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile took place at Park Hall Stadium this morning.
The Deputy Mayor of Oswestry, John Gareth Jones opened the races, which ranged from one mile to six miles.
Over 55 people took part in the run that started off at 11:00am.
Event organiser, Naomi Stocker was delighted with how the day went and said, ‘We wouldn’t have been able to do it if it wasn’t for the kind help from the local volunteers which included Gareth Thomas and co, who are from the Oswestry project. The TNS stewards who help out most weekends were a great help and they marshalled the event. Clare and Rob Walker from Cross-Fit Oswestry, ‘Bully’ and Reanna Walker were all brilliant too. I would also like to say a big thank you to Lucy and Shelly McLinchey, Sarah Roberts and Ellie Battam for helping out.’
Everyone associated with The New Saints Football Club would like to thanks all of the volunteers that helped make the event run smoothly.
