The New Saints’ Charlotte Edmunds helped the Wales women’s Under 17 development squad to a resounding 5-1 victory against the hosts, Lithuania this afternoon in Kaunas.
The match was the first in a mini-tournament that also includes Latvia and the Ukraine.
The Wales team took the lead after 1o minutes with a goal from Mollie Jones and two more came as the half came to an end thanks to substitute Chloe Chivers and Laura Mitchell.
It had ended the game as a contest and when Chivers scored a second after 52 minutes, it looked like it was all-over and done with.
The hosts managed to get one-back on 54 minutes, but a soon after, Wales made it five with Kelsey Davies getting-in on the act.
That was the end of the scoring, with all six Wales substitutes making an appearance, as well as all eight of the Lithuanian subs too.
In the other game, Ukraine beat Latvia 2-1.
Wales now meets Latvia, whilst Ukraine play Lithuania on Sunday.
