Saints Win Behind Closed Doors

The New Saints beat Sky Bet League Two side, Tranmere Rovers in a behind closed door friendly yesterday.

A solitary goal from Mike Wilde separated the sides at Tranmere’s Raby Vale training ground.

Sam Finley and new signing, Jamie Reed both managed to get 90 minutes under their belts, in what was an encouraging game for Saints.

Former Saint, Danny Holmes witnessed the Oswestry based outfit give an excellent account of themselves by retaining possession and  scoring the only goal of the match.

The New Saints FC would like to thank Tranmere for accommodating the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League Champions and would also like to wish them all the best in their next fixture against Portsmouth.

The Saints would also like to thank first team manager, Micky Adams for the opportunity to play against his side and TNS look forward to another fixture with Rovers soon.
