Under 16s Bangor City 1-3 TNS (5 Dec 2014)
The goal scorers : Ste Naisby, James Harrison and Rhys Lee
The squad travel up to Bangor to play on the brilliant first team pitch. The stage was set for a magnificent game of football. The boys welcomed in James Harrison and Rhys Lee finally from international clearance, with both making an immediate impact. We conceded a sloppy goal early on, but straight away dominated the game right until the final whistle with some fantastic combination play between the midfield 3 as well as fantastic interlinking between Will and Ben. A fantastic 3-1 result which in hindsight could have been a lot more, was it not for some fantastic saves by Bangor’s goalkeeper. Coach Steve Benyon said “Fantastic to get 3 points against a very good Bangor side and with a number of key players still missing. Every player tonight played a pivotal role, and will make squad selection for Sunday at Futsal and Bala Thursday night extremely hard. Massive thanks for Bangor for staging the game on their incredible pitch”.

TNS 14s started off this winters Futsal tournament I’m fantastic style, winning all games.
First up was Bangor, a team who are competing well in the Academy Cup this season. Bangor started the game strong but TNS grew into the rhythm and flow and ended up winning the game 3-1.
Next up was Newtown, again some fantastic football played by the 14s, numerous scorers on show and winning the game 6-1.
The third game of the day was against Porthmadog. TNS really turned on the style, winning the game comfortably 9-0.
The last game of the day was scheduled against Bala who didn’t show.
Afterwards, Jason Brindley said:
“Unfortunately I wasn’t present today as I was on a UEFA course. From what I heard though the boys played some really good football. Futsal is a game that brings out the best in some of my players. Looking forward to next Sunday and facing other teams in this fantastic format. A special mention and thanks to Steve Benyon who took the boys on my absence.”
