The New Saints FC Community Foundation and representatives from Shropshire Youth Association have created a partnership to run a Holiday Camp at Llanymenech village.
The Community Foundation visited Llanymynech today and delivered a variety of sessions.
Local children from the area took part in the sessions that were delivered by Community Foundation coaches, Naomi Stocker and Kieran Lee-Birch.
Community Foundation Officer, Niall Broe was delighted with the opportunity to come and deliver a satellite holiday session in Llanymynech. He met with Michael York and attendees of all three youth clubs to discuss the running of the holiday sessions.
Broe added, ‘The session seemed to go down really well. We were prepared to provide a number of activities as Llanymenech has both grass pitches and a sports hall. We are now in talks with Michael and the other youth workers regarding sessions in the future. Ewan Ellis came down to film the session so keep a look out for the footage.’
York, who is a representative of Shropshire Youth Association was pleased that the foundation had been able to get involved and said, ‘We try and mix all of the local youth groups together and seeing as though TNS are so local, it seems perfect for TNS to run our sessions. I think it can be very beneficial for both parties as we are always looking for help.’
