The New Saints Community Foundation recently launched a ‘design a kit’ competition with local schools in Oswestry and received a vast amount of excellent entries to design the new kit for the 2015/2016 Welsh Premier League season.
The kit will be worn for the first time tomorrow in the FAW Welsh Cup Final against Newtown, when Craig Harrison’s TNS side will hope to clinch a famous treble.
The winning entries were designed by Alex Jones, Faith Pritchard and Connor Huggins who all attend Whittington Primary School. The three children will be special guests at our UEFA Champions League first round home leg which will be played at The Saints’ Park Hall Stadium.
The traditional green and white hoops have remained in the new design and the shorts are green. The kit also has a dash of red on the collar which represents the red dragon of Wales.
Community Foundation Officer Niall Broe, ‘It is great to involve local children in a project like this and we hope to see them down at Park Hall to watch their designs in action on the pitch. The kit looks great and I would like to wish Craig and the team all the best in the Final tomorrow.’
