After maintaining their six point lead over second placed Bala Town at the top of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League table with a 6-0 away victory over Newtown last Saturday, The New Saints will be looking to extend that lead when they travel to Bala’s Maes Tegid ground tomorrow for a 5:15pm kick off.
The game was originally due to have been screened live by broadcasters S4C but due to the weather forecast not being good and the possibility of the game being postponed, S4C made the decision on Thursday to switch their live game to Airbus UK Broughton’s home game with gap Connah’s Quay after talks with all four clubs and the league.
The Saints got back to winning ways last week whereas Bala go into the game tomorrow on the back of an 11 game unbeaten run. Last week they travelled to Airbus UK and won 3-0 in the WPL.
A look at the list of previous meetings between TNS and Bala show a total of 21 games between the sides in all competitions since Bala first joined the Welsh Premier in season 2009/10, there have been 13 victories for TNS and eight draws with Bala yet to record a victory.
However, victory for Bala tomorrow would reduce the gap at the top to only three points although on the other hand, a victory for Craig Harrison’s side would extend the gap to nine with just seven games to play.
Live commentary of the match will also be available and will be live on TNS Radio from 5:00pm.
