TNS Manager Craig Harrison has set his sights on completing a domestic treble for the second year running after finishing the 2015/2016 Dafabet Welsh Premier League with a bang.
On the last day of the league season, an inspired TNS side dismantled third placed MBi Llandudno with Adrian Cieslewicz bagging a hat-trick during a 5-1 romp.
Speaking after the game, Harrison confirmed that competition in the squad is an integral part of a winning side and said, ‘Competition for places is something I’ve tried to instil since day one here. I think it has been the driving force behind our success over the years. Ciss hasn’t played that often in the past five or six weeks and he’s come in for Jamie Mullan who’s been on fire but had a bit of a hamstring problem.’
Harrison added, ‘Ciss comes in and scores a hat-trick and there are not many other clubs out there who can have a player come in and perform as well as the other one.’
Looking ahead to the FAW Welsh Cup Final, Harrison added, ‘I have said to the lads in the past few games to make my job as hard as possible for the Cup Final and everyone will be happy. It would be very special to complete successive domestic trebles. The Welsh Cup is a very special competition to me and we’ll certainly be looking to retain that on Monday.’
The Saints will take on Airbus UK in the Welsh Cup Final at Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium, Wrexham.
The Final will kick off at 16:15pm and will be live on Sgorio.
