The New Saints Football Club is pleased to announce, that following an interim period, Scott Ruscoe and Steve Evans have been appointed Manager and Assistant Manager respectively.
We caught up with the new man at the helm earlier today, after training. We chatted about the Champions League campaign just gone and that moment, when Scott Quigley scoring in Portugal immediately ran towards the bench, finger pointing.
“It showed our togetherness” Ruscoe enthused, adding that the resultant mobbing by the players “..underlined that fact. We have a good group of players and we’re all in this together”
Concerning the prsssure relating to his new role, the TNS legend was unwavering in his declaration, as he dealt with the task ahead. “Mark my words, that’s not going to happen (complacency) as long as I’m here.”
When questioned about his working partnership with new Assistant Manager, Steve Evans, the message coming through for TNS fans was nothing but positive. “Steve is fantastic, we’ve got a great relationship.”
You can check out the interview in full, via the TNS TV video below.
In addition, our Chief Operating Officer, Ian Williams, shared his thoughts on the appointments.
“Everyone at the club is delighted that both Scott and Steve have accepted their respective roles on a full-time basis. They both know the club inside-out and have a real passion to continue the success that the club has had.”
Here at Park Hall we would like to extend our congratulations on their new appointments and to wish both Ruscoe and Evans all the very best for the upcoming Welsh Premier League season, and beyond.
