Wednesday morning at six o’clock as the day begins. Almost a line from a Beatles song there, but not quite. However, there are twelve song titles from the Fab Four hidden in this week’s Rev’s Ramblings. See if you can spot them.
Anyway, back to the blog and this time round it’s an insight into what I got up to last Wednesday, hence the title, A Day In The Life. They say that variety is the spice of life and that certainly describes my involvement at TNS.
Up bright and early, it was definitely a case of good morning, good morning. Or should that be bore da, bore da, as I was off to my first ever Eisteddfod.
On the island of Anglesey, the festival of all things Welsh was where this season’s Welsh Premier League was being launched. Although it’s on the extremity of the nation, the A5 / A483 / A55 is a good route. It was only the final few miles when we hit the proverbial -and literal – long and winding road that things slowed down.
My partners on the road trip were Aeron Edwards and Emma Morris. I loved it, it was great to get back to Ynys Môn, albeit just as a day tripper. It’s been a year or so since I was on the island but it was worth the wait.
The launch of the league went well. I’ve experienced some really good things in my life but working in the world of Welsh football is up there with the best. It’s always an honour and a privilege to be involved.
Back at Park Hall it was a trip to the shirt printers to get a couple of items done with the new league sponsor’s logo. From now on JD will be proudly represented on all things WPL.
Then finally, I answered a call for help! With the team photo shoot the next day I went to collect some socks. It was a long, long, long day but as always I feel fine.
Sometimes I wish that there were eight days in a week. It’s all good though and being busy don’t bother me.
