Visitors From New Zealand – It’s A Small World

Visiting the UK, Daniel, Tamsin and Jago Godden decided to pay us a visit at Park Hall. The trip to the home of the Welsh champions though was intentional and purpose-driven, as the magnet was our number nine, Greg Draper.

The Goddens are from Sumner, in Christchurch, on New Zealand’s South Island where Jago plays for Ferrymead Bays U14s. For those who have followed the career of our Kiwi international striker Draper, you will recognise the name of the club where he spent his early days.

Going on to play at various levels of international football representing New Zealand’s All Whites, his career culminated in an appearance at senior level. Along with Steve Evans (Wales) and Steve Saunders (Scotland), he is one of three full internationals at Park Hall.

Following training – which the Goddens watched from the balcony – they got to meet Greg, and with our official photographer Brian Jones on hand, we also captured the moment professionally.

They will be at the game as guests of the club this Friday (September 22) against Llandudno and will be putting in an appearance on TNS Radio. You can tune in via the link here on our website, either direct or under News.
