Ethan is the winner from our youngest Academy age group. Ethan is an ever present at training and has really developed his understanding of the game and technical ability.

Under 8 – Nataniel

Nataniel has had a fantastic month and season on a whole. He possess a fantastic left foot and has a real eye for goal. On top of that he always has so much energy in training and constantly likes to demonstrate his skills to coaches, as well as trying to megs them.

Under 9 – Louis

Louis is an ever present with our U9s. He has a great attitude in training, a real willingness to improve and is a real confident young player. He is constantly talking to his team mates in games which is rare for a player so young. Well Done Louis.

Under 10 – Sam

Congratulations to U10 goal keeper Sam. Sam is like a miniature version of our first team goalkeeper and captain Paul Harrison with his pinpoint distribution. He also seems to have elastic band arms that somehow stretch when he is diving to keep the ball out of the net. Very well done Sam.

Under 11 – James

James has been awarded our U11’s Player Of The Month for some fantastic individual performances during November, in particular vs Manchester United and Newton U12’s. In addition to this James’s an incredibly hardworking individual who brightens up every training session with his infectious enthusiasm and personality.

Under 12 – Seb

Seb has only been with our Academy a short period but has really gelled in well. Seb possess a good understanding and reading of the game, with timely interceptions but also has good passing ability, constantly looking to pass forward and break opposition lines.

Under 13 – Eric

Congratulations to U13 wide player Eric who has had a fantastic month. Eric is equally good in deep or higher positions out wide and possess a great burst of pace. Eric works tirelessly for his team and this award is thoroughly deserved.

Under 13 (last month) – Osian

Osian was unable to attend last month so we are delighted that his achievement was recognised Friday evening. Osian is a clever player, always aware and finding that extra half a yard of space in tight areas that enables him to get on the ball. Also has an eye for a goal.

Under 14 – Alex

Alex has been awarded our U14’s Player Of The Month for some fantastic individual performances during November, in particular vs Llandudno. Alex has an amazing attitude and is looking to learn and develop during every session. Alex’s a player we rate very highly at TNS and we can’t wait to continue helping him to reach his potential.

Under 15 – James

Congratulations to U15s James. James is comfortable playing in multiple positions and shows a good understanding of what is required and roles and responsibilities of different positions, both in and out of possession.

Under 16 – Robbie (not present)

Well done to U16 keeper Robbie. Robbie is constantly after feedback from Coaches on areas to develop and focus on and the improvement we have seen with him as a result of this has been very good. Good players take criticism, great players crave it.

E1 – Matt

Well done to Matt on winning E1 player of the month. Matt is one of the most consistent players at the club and is highly thought of, resulting in Matt training with the first team this season. He is always seeks to improve and comes in to do additional training 1 on 1, such is his attitude, commitment and willingness to improve.

E2 – Harry

Well done to E2 player Harry. Harry again shows a great attitude and is another player who is always after feedback. Harry works very hard and that has resulted in Harry breaking into the E1 squad at times this past month.

“Congratulations to our Academy Players of the month. It has been a very good November for all involved with The New Saints. We had a great turnout to support our first team in the queen of the south fixture, which was exciting to say the least. Also had the full club photo which was good to all the members of our football family together at the same time. In terms of fixtures, they don’t come much bigger than Manchester United.”

“As we look closer at our players of the month, whilst they hold ability that’s not to deny, its more their commitment and attitude which stands out. It’s not a surprise that the three oldest winners and always striving to improve, through more feedback or additional training. Attitude is huge, whilst talent will get you so far, it is hard work that really stands out and I think that Is really evident with this month’s winners.  Well done all.” Jason  Brindley.
