Jacob Farleigh and Matthew Cole have gone on loan for the rest of the season, to FC Oswestry Town and Gresford Athletic respectively.
For Jacob it’s very familiar territory, as not only does the the North West Counties Football League side play their home games at Park Hall, but he has already spent the first half of the season there.
Matt joins a team playing just one league below The New Saints, in the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance. The second tier of Welsh football is regionalised into north and south, with this being the former.
We caught up with TNS manager, Scott Ruscoe, to get his thoughts on the loan deals.
“Two young players who need the minutes. Jacob is going back to somewhere he’s played earlier this season, so it’s not new to him.”
” He’s a young scholar and he needs to get the physical side of the game and improve on that side because he’s a very good footballer. We’re looking to strengthen him up and get him into men’s football.
