Well done to everyone who won the Player Of The Month awards this time round. The presentations took place at the Bala Town game and Jason Brindley gives us the rundown on the individuals concerned.
Under 7 – Luca Lovell
Luca has really developed this season and is an ever-present at training. He has really good close ball control and has demonstrated this in recent fixtures. Luca is great at dribbling and taking players on but has also started to get his head up and share the ball which is great to see.
Under 8 – Marcel Olpika
After a little discussion after the Connah’s Quay game, Marcel has taken on board what we talked about and his performances of late have seen him contribute with numerous assists and some very well taken and worked goals. He has been beating players in 1v1 situations with skill and speed.
Under 9 – Christian Hawkey
Christian has played a more attacking role recently. His progression and improvement has been fantastic over the last few weeks. He has starting scoring regularly, assisting others to score and tracking back to help defend.
Sometimes his positional awareness is lacking, but he’s by far the most improved player and looks very confident, plus he’s enjoying playing. Not panicking on the ball, looks more comfortable to be creative.
Under 10 – Nikolas Slosarczyk
Nikolas has been brilliant this past month, playing all over the pitch he always plays with great composure and brings a calmness to all players around him. He has a brilliant football brain, and this has shown through the way he plays, understanding the DNA and putting it into practice by breaking lines with inch-perfect passes, as well as working back to make goal-saving tackles. Nikolas never stops working and always plays with a smile on his face, well done Nik!
Under 11 – Alfie Harrison
Alfie has been awarded our U-11s Player Of The Month for some fantastic individual performances during February against Chester, IFA and at the Deeside Futsal Festival. In addition to his performances Alfie’s an ever-present in training and always looking to improve. Congratulations Alfonso, keep up the great work.
Under 12 – Louis Crofts
Louis has been selected as a result of his on-pitch performances throughout February for not only his own age group but also the one above. Louis works hard for his team and is lethal in front of goal.
Under 13 – Adam Tunnadine
I have been very impressed with not only Adam’s talent, but his attitude to learn. Adam, before, during and after every training session continues to ask myself as the coach questions to find out how to improve even more and gives me his thoughts on the session and what he learnt.
The squad rotates a lot and he is an individual who wants to keep his starting place in the team every week with it being so competitive for certain positions due to a large squad, which I think is great. He works hard out of possession and is very clever in possession and is a player who is very positive and looks to play forward as much as he can.
Well done Adam.
Under 14 – Reece Warder
Reece has been awarded our U-14s Player Of The Month for some fantastic individual performances during February versus Rhyl, Airbus and also at the National Futsal finals. He is an incredibly gifted player who has the ability to win matches individually with his frightening pace and ability to dominate 1v1 situations. We rate Reece very highly at TNS and see him as a player with huge pedigree. Keep up the great work Reece.
Under 15 – Ben Buley
Ben has been consistent in his performances and trained very well, especially when being challenged when training with the U16s. His attendance and commitment has been faultless.
His understanding and reading of the game has been one of his biggest improvements this season and this has seen him become more of a leader on the pitch.
Under 16 – Alex Cadman
Congratulations to U-16s Player Of The Month, Alex Cadman. Caddy has made a huge impact on the team since joining the club. He has been unfortunate with injuries but has recently really shown what he is capable of. A huge part of the age group’s success at winning the National Futsal Championship and also with his understanding of the club DNA and playing style, with a stand out performance against Airbus recently. Also an ever-present at training. Keep up the good work.
E1 – Liam Parry
After being in devastating goal scoring form with 10 goals in his last 3 games, it’s no surprise Liam picks up this month’s E1 player of the month award. Quality finishes combined with clever combination play. Well done Liam.
E2 – Callum Routley
Cal has been in good form both in games and at training, weighing in with some important goals which has led to the E2 team sitting top of the table, with only 4 matches left. Recently was on fire in a shooting drill in training, finding the top corner on multiple occasions. Well done Cal.
Congratulations to all our players of the month for February. The season has flown by and we are starting to approach the end of what I feel has been an extremely positive one, in terms of individual player development.
All of the above winners have shown great understanding of our TNS DNA and the principles behind that, both on and off the field. They understand the full DNA, the culture and identity that we set, the playing style, what makes a TNS player.
It’s amazing to see, from our youngest Academy prospects to the players in the Professional Phase, all understanding what makes our club so unique.
