As the UEFA Champions League campaign draws ever closer, the preparations continue as we welcome Falkirk FC to Park Hall for a friendly. The game this coming Friday (June 29, 2018) sees the two sides go head-to-head with a 7.00 p.m. kick-off time.
The list of Scottish opposition continues to grow for The New Saints as in recent seasons – mostly courtesy of the Irn-Bru Cup – the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts, Livingston, Rangers, St Johnstone and St Mirren have all featured in games.
The Bairns, founded in 1876, although having been in the top flight of Scottish football in recent years now find themselves in the second tier. Last season they finished eighth in a ten-team league.
There is already a connection between Welsh football and Falkirk FC as Sgorio presenter, Owain Tudur Jones, played for the side in 2014. The seven-times capped Welsh international ended his career at the Falkirk Stadium, representing the Stirlingshire-based team on four occasions before retiring from the game.
Admission to the game at Park Hall is £5 for adults, £2 concessions and children free. We look forward to welcoming you to the home of the JD Welsh Premier League champions but as always, if you’re unable to make it in person then don’t miss out. You can follow the action via TNS Radio.
The link is on the home page of our website and we will go live ahead of kick-off. You can connect with us during the match by sending a tweet (@tnsfc) and using the hashtag #TNSRadio.
