Following six weeks of summer fun, there are celebrations all round as the TNS Foundation’s holiday clubs reach their conclusion.
The sessions, which have been supported by local funders, have run every weekday throughout the school holidays and have attracted total attendances of over 2000 young people, reaching more than 500 different children.
The foundation have been offering a range of activities, including song and dance, arts and crafts, games and competitions and races and sports.
Selected sessions have also offered a healthy lunch, completely free of charge.
Events have been held in Ellesmere, Gobowen, St. Martin’s, Weston Rhyn, Gatacre, Cae Glas Park, Morda and Trefonen, and participants have been rewarded with certificates, as well as complimentary tickets to the TNS vs Bala Town match and a bowling voucher.
Commenting on the success of the holiday clubs this summer, Gill Jones, TNS Foundation manager, had this to say:
“We’re delighted with the fantastic numbers that have attended our holiday clubs this year.
“We’re currently putting together information to send to our various funders, but our early indications suggest that we’ve hit more than 2000 individual attendances over the summer.
“The feedback that we’ve received from parents and families about our holiday clubs has been brilliant.
“A huge thank you must go to our fantastic team of foundation coaches, all of who have made the summer as exciting and memorable as possible for so many young people.”
