JD Welsh Premier Development League (North) – TNS FC v Cefn Druids Match Preview

Myself and the other coaches have been working hard behind the scenes to work out and deliver appropriate sessions in preparation for the Cefn Druids game, writes Steve Benyon.

This week has seen the start of both the college education programme for our first year players, as well as full-time training and matches for all players on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

We played Gower College on Wednesday away, who like ourselves have both Category 1 and 2 teams, so it was nice to allow players to have important minutes, as well as being able to bond together as a group, even though the FIFA tournament was fixed on the bus!

We are continuing to look for a positive reaction and have set high standards to the players after Sunday’s mixed performance against Rhyl, and we have a number of players back available for selection, so selecting a strong 15/16 will prove difficult as inevitably we will have to leave players out.

Druids are on the back of a 4-2 victory against Bala Town, so I’m sure they will be continuing to look for a positive reaction and performance when they visit the home of the current Welsh Premier League Development (North) champions.

Our players will have to ensure they are ready and have learnt the hard lessons they learnt last Sunday. Come down and support the players. The kick-off at Park Hall is 2.00 p.m.
