Disappointing Druids Defeat For Performance Phase

On Sunday, September 9th 2018, 15 of the Performance Phase players faced Cefn Druids at home in the JD Welsh Premier Development League (North) fixture.

The players knew myself, Si (Smith) and Jase (Brindley) were looking for a reaction after last Sunday’s mediocre performance.

With the introduction of first team players, Sarge (Chris Seargeant) and Robbo (Connor Roberts) to the coaching staff, we were all hoping for a positive performance.

The starting 11 controlled proceedings, playing the ball out from the back, as well as switching play effectively and entering the final third. However the visiting goalkeeper was not tested.

A poor mistake gifted the visitors a goal right on the stroke of half-time.

Once more the second half saw the players control large spells of possession, but again without hurting the druids defence.

Another poor mistake gifted Druids a second goal and inevitably killed off the game.

It has been a somewhat poor and disjointed start, but we will rise above the difficulties and aim to keep working harder to develop the players to ensure they can cope with the demands of development football and the pressures of representing TNS.
