On Friday, September 21 2018, The New Saints of Oswestry Town host Bala Town in the JD Welsh Premier League (JD WPL) at Park Hall.
With results going favourably for the reigning champions over the last few weeks, TNS find themselves top of the table with a three-point lead over second placed Connah’s Quay Nomads.
The Lakesiders occupied fifth spot and are six points behind the early leaders. Having scored and conceded 11 goals, Colin Caton’s side have a neutral goal difference. On the other hand, with 22 goals and a defence that has been breached just twice so far in the JD WPL, The New Saints have impressive statistics all-round.
Last weekend, in front of the Sgorio cameras at Park Avenue, Bala Town suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Aberystwyth Town. Although they scored a late goal it didn’t alter anything other than the scoreline.
Scott Ruscoe’s side made it four clean sheets on the bounce as they beat Llanelli Town AFC 2-0 at Stebonheath Park.
Admission charges for the game are: £8 (adults), £4 (concessions) and £1 (juniors under the age of 16). Kick-off is 7.45 p.m.
The officials for the game are as follows: Kevin Parry (referee), Martin Roberts and Garth Wyn Jones (assistants), Tom Owen (4th official) and Dave Fawkes (observer).
