Prestatyn Town v The New Saints – Match Preview

Following the JD Welsh Premier League game at Cardiff Metropolitan University FC on Sunday just gone, it’s Nathaniel MG Cup action this Wednesday (October 3 2018), as The New Saints travel to The Motion Finance Stadium (Bastion Gardens) to take on Prestatyn Town.

Although they are the current holders of the trophy, Scott Ruscoe’s side will be anything but complacent, especially following the disappointment of defeat in the capital.

Since their relegation from the top flight of Welsh football in 2017/2018 with a points tally of just 19, the Seasiders have failed to make an impact in the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance. They currently find themselves 15th in a 16 team league, with just five points from nine games.

Their 1-1 draw against Penrhyncoch over the weekend saw them climb one place in the table.

The officials for the game are as follows: Tom Owen (referee), Martin Roberts and Phil Roszkowski (assistants) and Nick Pratt (4th official).

The round two game kicks-off at 7.45 p.m.
