There’s now just one week remaining to vote for The New Saints FC Foundation in their Aviva Community Fund bid. The Foundation are hoping to benefit from the fund, which awards grants to projects all over the country based upon public support, to continue to expand their Active Saints programme.
Active Saints aims to provide a range of opportunities for older men and women living in North Shropshire to exercise while socialising, improving their health and mental wellbeing in the process.
And with voting now well underway in the latest round of the Fund, we went along to speak to The New Saints FC Foundation’s Healthy Living co-ordinator, Shelly McGlinchey at one of her Active Saints classes, to find out more about way the Active Saints project is so important.
