Match report by Steve Benyon
Yesterday saw the squad of 16 play Stourbridge (Kidderminster Harriers), at home in the ECFA National Cup.
It was a perfect start for our young Saints, going 1-0 up early on through a CJ Craven strike.
The boys continued to play well, creating a host of chances, as well as remaining resolute at the back, until a goal was conceded direct from a free-kick which somehow went through the wall and beat Lewis Dutton.
We responded almost immediately through a Liam Parry goal after a great through ball from James Parry.
The second half however was a different story.
The players were at times sloppy in possession and second to the majority of balls.
A lapse in concentration from Lewis saw their centre forward charge down the ball and into the empty net to end the game 2-2 and send the game penalties, which resulted in a 5-3 loss.
All the best to the Harriers in the next round.
