Both sides go into the Boxing Day clash on the back of impressive MD18 away wins in the JD Welsh Premier League (JD WPL).
Following a run of five games that had yielded as many points, The New Saints FC got back on track with a comfortable 4-0 victory at Llandudno FC. The day before, The Ancients returned from the other Seasiders in the league, Aberystwyth Town, with a 2-0 win to their name.
With both Connah’s Quay Nomads and Barry Town United also winning, it’s a case of as you were at the top of the JD WPL, with the reigning champions still in third place.
Seven points off sixth place with four games to go, Huw Griffiths’ side still have a mathematical possibility of making the top half come the split, but in order to do so they will have to be on top form over the Christmas period, with back-to-back games against TNS.
The game at Park Hall kicks off at 2.30 p.m. and admission charges are £8 / £4 /£1. If you’re not at the match you can follow the action via TNS Radio. The link is on the home page of our website or you can go direct HERE.
The New Saints will be in the familiar green and white shirts, white shorts and white socks while the goalkeeper will be wearing a blue and orange shirt with blue shorts and blue socks.
Cefn Druids will be in all royal blue, with the goalkeeper in all yellow.
The officials for the game are as follows: Iwan Griffith (referee), Bryn Jones and Dan Beckett (assistant referees), Rob Jenkins (4th official) and Roger Gifford (match delegate).
