Saints Sign Yorkshire ‘Wonder Kid’

With the transfer window poised to close, The New Saints of Oswestry Town is extremely pleased to announce the signing of Billy Whitehouse from Tadcaster Albion, subject to clearance.

The 22-year-old wide-man began his career at Doncaster Rovers before moving to Yorkshire giants, Leeds United, for an undisclosed sum.

Described as a ‘wonderkid’ on numerous occasions, since being released by the Elland Road outfit Billy has attracted serious attention from the likes of Bournemouth AFC, Cardiff City, Leicester City, Mansfield Town and Reading, as his growing reputation has attracted attention from scouts throughout the top football divisions in England.

The video compilation from Tadcaster Albion TV showcases his talent and gives fans of The New Saints an idea of what to expect.

There will be a full interview in due course but for now we spoke briefly with Billy to get his initial reaction at putting pen to paper with the champions of Wales:

“I’m really happy to be signing for The New Saints and excited to be back in full-time football. The chance to win titles and play for a top team is exciting. I just can’t wait to hit the ground running.”

We had a more in-depth chat with TNS FC manager, Scott Ruscoe, that you can watch below.

Finally, for now, welcome to Park Hall, Billy. We trust that your time with us is a happy one indeed.
