If you’ve been following our social media in recent months, you’ll have seen how popular our TNS mystery boxes have become.
We’ve seen the packages shipped all around the globe to destinations including California, Italy and Germany. The latest delivery though, was made closer to home, as Jason Geary from Northampton received his box.
Jason has been following The New Saints for a couple of years now, and explains below in his own words, how he became a fan of the club.
“I first heard of TNS when they broke the Guinness World Record for most consecutive wins. This got me interested in the league & more importantly, it got me interested in TNS. Once beginning to follow the club, I wanted to start a Football Manager save with The Saints, but didn’t get around to doing so until last November.
“I finally got around to starting my save with TNS on Football Manager 2019, and it’s without a doubt the best save I’ve ever done. The main goal for the save was to get a son, which you can get if you play 10 seasons with the same club. I eventually managed to get through them all, winning many trophies along the way, and reaching the Europa League round of 16.
“There are a lot of players who I could as my favourite, but ultimately, I’d say two players stand out. I really can’t decide between Danny Redmond & Greg Draper! Both players helped me storm the league in my first season on the game. I always look out to see if either of them have scored & I’m looking forward to seeing them both play.
“I was at work when my parcel arrived, although my dad messaged me to say I’d had a parcel & instantly I knew what it was! When I opened it & saw the items inside, I was overwhelmed with joy, and it was incredible to read through the programmes from years ago.
“I really appreciate everything that was in the parcel. My favourite thing would have to be the Kalantari shirt. It was truly brilliant, as he is one of my great youth academy players from the Football Manager save. I can’t wait to wear as much as I can for when I attend a TNS home game!”
Jason plans to attend the home match against Connah’s Quay Nomads on April 26th, and has also set up an Northampton TNS supporters’ page on Facebook. You can check that out HERE.
