Latest TNS FC Foundation Update With Gill Jones

Alongside all the excitement of the Champions League competition, work in The New Saints FC Foundation continues apace, as we continue to grow and develop our activities and reputation in the community, writes Gill Jones.

The summer term has ended, and we are now kicking off our summer holiday activity programme – this year it is bigger than ever, and runs alongside all those other activities which we continue to deliver throughout the year – including All In – our weekly activity programme for children and young people with additional needs, and our varied programme of exercise and activity sessions for older people.

Below is a summary of our summer activity programme for children and young people – please share this information as widely as possible – we welcome children and young people of all abilities to these sessions, and are extremely grateful to all those funding partners who make the programme possible – young people have no reason to be bored this summer!

Last Saturday (13th July) saw our annual TNS in the Park event, held in Cae Glas Park, Oswestry.  The day went brilliantly with more visitors than ever to this free event for Oswestry.  Many people met members of the First Team and wished them luck before they headed off for their 2nd leg match in Kosovo – their wishes must have worked!!

In two weeks’ time there’s also chance to come and visit us at the Village Green at Oswestry Show on Saturday 3rd August – we’ll be providing lots of fun activities on the Green, as well as information about the Foundation and the Football Club – come and visit us – there will also be lots of freebies available!

For more information about the Foundation, and to find out how you could support us go to www.tnsfc.co.uk/foundation or email info@tnsfcfoundation.org.uk.  Also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
