This Saturday (September 21, 2019), the reigning JD Cymru Premier champions make the journey across country to take on Carmarthen Town on MD7.
The Old Gold currently sit just above the relegation places, courtesy of goal difference with Airbus UK. With both teams on three points and with negative figures, it is Carmarthen’s minus three as opposed to the Wingmakers’ minus five that edges it.
Although at the wrong end of the table as far as they are concerned, nevertheless Neil Smothers’ side has lost just once in the last four league games. However, with no wins either, that’s why they currently sit in tenth spot.
On the other hand, following a last gasp header from Keston Davies that secured a draw at Cyncoed Campus on Monday just gone, The New Saints occupy second place, just one point behind leaders, Barry Town United.
It’s tight at the top with two points separating four teams, with Connah’s Quay Nomads and Cardiff Metropolitan University FC both two points off pole position.
The New Saints’ current run of league form consists of three wins and one draw, although last season’s tightest defence has conceded in every game played, apart from the opener against Caernarfon Town, which was a 1-0 win.
The fixture at Richmond Park has a 2.30 p.m.kick-off time and there is a supporters’ bus travelling to Carmarthenshire. Contact Wayne Greenshields on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
