The draw for the third round of the JD Welsh Cup was made this evening in Cardiff. The New Saints secured home advantage, with Mold Alexandra the visitors to Park.
The north Walians were founder members of the League Of Wales in the 1992/93 season, finishing 13th in a twenty-team set-up, but now play their football in the Welsh National League. This is a Wrexham-centred league and is part of the regionalised third tier of domestic football.
Mold Alexandra advanced to the third round, which is where the JD Cymru Premier sides enter, courtesy of an impressive 8-1 win last Saturday (November 9), at home to Llanrug United FC in round two.
The games will be played during the first full weekend of December (Saturday 7 / Sunday 8) and TNS FC’s details will be announced once confirmed.
