If you’re at tomorrow’s (Saturday, January 18) game between The New Saints FC and Connah’s Quay Nomads, don’t forget to purchase a copy of the match day programme. The forty-eight page issue costs £3.00. Programmes will be on sale at the turnstile, at the main counter inside The Venue, and at the club shop, which is also located inside the main building.
The cover boy this time round is veteran defender, Simon Spender. The Wales U-21 international will be happy to sign your programme after the final whistle.
As always, there’s a welcome from our manager, Scott Ruscoe. As well as the fixture ahead, he also looks back, and in particular to our previous game, when Paul Harrison made his 400th league start for the club.
It’s the first home match of 2020, so we also remember Christmas just gone, when the players and staff visited the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital. The annual visit to the Alice Ward, which is the designated children’s ward, is always well received.
There’s also an article in the programme from Mark Pitman, who as well as looking at Wales’ young talent in general, focuses specifically on Ben Cabango. Since returning to Swansea City, following his loan period at Park Hall, Ben’s star has continued to rise.
