Looking Ahead To The Game Against Bala Town, We Remember The Last Time That We Met

The last time we played Bala Town was back in October 2019, when a 1-0 victory meant that The New Saints moved into second place in the JD Cymru Premier.

After back-to-back defeats against Barry Town United and Caernarfon Town, the poor form was halted with victories at home to Airbus UK Broughton and on the road at Penybont FC.

The win against the Lakesiders ensured that the run of wins continued, although we had to wait until the 56th minute for the deadlock to be broken. The only goal of the game was from Greg Draper, as he headed in following a cross from Ryan Brobbel.

Although The New Saints enjoyed the bulk of the possession, it was a penalty save from Paul Harrison that denied the visitors to Park Hall in the first-half.

When you throw into the mix a disallowed Bala goal for offside in one minute of added time at the end of the game, in spite of the dominance, there was a relief among supporters when the whistle was blown for the final time.
