They’re all big games of course between now and the end of the season, but following last week’s fixtures, that saw The New Saints and Connah’s Quay Nomads swap places at the top of the JD Cymru Premier, this Friday’s (February 21) encounter carries added importance.
With just one point between The Nomads and The Saints, although nothing will be decided come the final whistle, if the former secured a win, then the destination of the league title would then be in their own hands.
A draw would be status quo, and with one more game between the sides to come, still everything to play for. Likewise, a win for TNS would give the reigning champions a two-point lead at the top, but still leave the possibility for either team to ultimately lift silverware come the end of April.
The New Saints go into the game with just one point from their last two JD Cymru Premier matches, while Andy Morrison has seen his side collect maximum points.
For the second Friday on the bounce, TNS will not only be on the road, but also involved in the featured live Sgorio game on S4C. Kick-off is 8.00 p.m. and you can follow updates via our Twitter account.
The New Saints will be in the blue away kit, with the goalkeepers in all black.
The officials for the game are as follows: Lee Evans (referee), Lewiss Edwards and John Bryant (assistants) and Kevin Parry (fourth official)
