We complete the halfway stage of the JD Cymru Premier Championship Conference on Friday (March 13), with MD27 seeing The New Saints on the road against Caernarfon Town.
In second-place, and four points adrift of the leaders, Connah’s Quay Nomads, Scott Ruscoe’s side will be seeking to get back on track sooner rather than later, as the clock ticks down on the 2019/2020 season.
It’s not been an ideal start to the second phase for the reigning champions, with just two points on the board from a possible twelve. Last Friday’s disappointment of conceding a last-gasp equalising goal against Barry Town United, combined with the fact that the Nomads also drew, meant that TNS lost the chance to close the gap at the top.
Friday’s hosts, Caernarfon Town, currently occupy fifth place in the league, fourteen points behind The New Saints. They have scored thirty-six goals, compared to TNS’ sixty-nine and the defence has been breached on thirty-eight occasions, with the Saints conceding twenty-seven.
The game at The Oval kicks-off at 7.45 p.m. and if you’re not there in person you can follow the action via TNS Radio (the link is on the home page of our website) as well as updates on Twitter.
Earlier this week, Scott Ruscoe held his press conference, and you can watch that below.
