Current long-serving player, Christian Seargeant, has been appointed as the new Head Of Coaching, overseeing the youth provision at the football club. He has already been very active in his new role, restructuring the new Academy layout.

The New Saints has had a successful season across the board, with our first team winning the double (JD Welsh Premier League and JD Welsh Cup). We feel we are already ahead of the rest in terms of restructuring the Academy, with new roles and group leads.

Jason Brindley will continue his role as Academy Manager and delivering with our Academy youngsters.

Simon Smith will head up our Performance Phase on a full-time basis.

Kieran Lee-Birch and Danny Bell will both be extending their roles into full-time positions as head of Phases.

Kieran will look after our Development Phase whilst Danny will lead our Foundation Phase.

Connor Roberts will continue to head up our fantastic Goalkeeper Programme, alongside Lewis Dutton.

Exciting times are very much ahead for The New Saints FC Academy, with extra contact times and individualised technical sessions for all age groups, as well as our existing extensive Academy programme.

We caught up with Sarge this week at the TNS FC office to chat with him about his new role, whether he intends to hang up his boots and more. The lead image was taken prior to the interview as our new Academy Head Of Coaching discussed issues with Jason Brindley and Kieran Lee-Birch.
