The final friendly of a busy week – making it three games in four days – was against English Championship side, Wolverhampton Wanderers. Due to it being a pay-on-the-gate affair, we were able to cover that and we tweeted updates live from Park Hall, as well as a brief report here.
A side managed by ex-professional player, Scott Sellars, proved too strong for TNS in the end, running out 5-1 winners. The deadlock was broken in the 27th minute of an open, flowing game when a well-taken goal from outside the box beat Wycherley.
Four minutes before the break and Wolves made it 2-0. Following good work down the right, a low ball was put away at close-range. It was more of the same for the visitors at the 2/3 stage of the game, as a ball played in at pace from the right extended the Wolves’ lead.
TNS pull one back as substitute, Greg Draper, gets on the end of a cross from the left.
1-3 on 62 minutes.

Draper scored for The New Saints in the 62nd minute. Pulling the scoreline back to 3-1, it gave the Welsh champions hope. Unfortunately, that was dashed four minutes later when the men from Molineux made it 4-1, adding a fifth with 16 minutes to go.
Starting line-up: Wycherley, Trialist, Trialist, Seargeant, Fletcher, Parry, Hudson, Holland, Clark, Cieslewicz, Trialist.
