All In For Level Playing Field, As Saints Show Support

With clubs in Wales showing their support for Level Playing Field’s 14th annual week’s of action campaign, The New Saints is proud to be showing its support for the scheme.

As a club, we are always looking to make the game more inclusive for all, and our community foundation does great work to ensure this happens.

For over three years now, The Foundation has been running All In sessions at The Venue.

Taking place every Friday night, with alternative weeks for different age groups, All In is an activity club for children with additional needs.

Participants get to take part in a wide variety of activities, including sports and arts and crafts, while being supported to meet their needs in the process.

Below, read the stories of three different All In participants, to find out just how the club has helped to change their lives.

Scott, 17

I’m the oldest in the group, so I’m a role model to them. I love the All In sessions and wish it was every week.

I can socialise with people just like me and feel safe. When I come to watch TNS play I have the freedom to walk around or sit in the stadium, as I struggle to stay still.

I really like having banter with the away supporters especially Bangor. I sometimes help the stewards and I get a free food when I do. I love the sausage rolls.

Female, 15

The best thing about All In is that I can socialise in a comfortable environment with no judgement. It gives me time away from annoying siblings and it’s just for me.

Because of the sessions, I now come to The Venue to meet my friends and go bowling. My brother has been to watch the football matches.

Male, 14

I like the banter with the staff and other kids at All In sessions. I get to try lots of activities which I’ve never done before and feel safe.

It’s keeping me fit and healthy. I like the variety of snacks we get and making pizza and toast. I’d never seen TNS play before but after coming to All In, I met some players and have felt confident to watch a live match. It was great.
