Dublin-born striker, Kurtis Byrne, began his youth career in England, with Norwich City, before moving north of the border to Scotland.
The 28-year-old held permanent contracts at both Hibernian and Ross County, combined with loan deals at East Fife, Alloa Athletic and Brechin City, before another move took him back to his native Ireland and Dundalk.
Finding the net numerous times – including twice in the UEFA Champions League – he then played for Bohemians and St Patrick’s Athletic, where he scored seventeen and twelve times respectively.
Another move north of the border, this time the Irish one, saw him switch to Linfield last season. His strike rate at The Blues was one-in-three, as eighteen appearances resulted in six goals.
