Tomorrow evening, The New Saints will take on SK Slovan Bratislava in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Second Qualifying Round.
The match will be played at the Stadion Pasienky and will kick off at 18:45pm local time.
SK Slovan Bratislava are the most successful team in Slovakia, having won eight league titles.
Slovan Bratislava also became the first and so far only club in Slovakia as well as former Czechoslovakia to win one of the European cup competitions, the Cup Winners’ Cup when they defeated FC Barcelona in the final in Basel in 1969.
Nicknamed ‘Belasi’, the club are managed by the former Sparta Prague defender, Frantisek Straka.
However, despite the success in their homeland, Slovan have never got further than the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round and last season were knocked out in the Second Round after losing 4-2 on aggregate to Bulgarians, Ludogorets.
Craig Harrison’s Saints were also knocked out of the competition at the same stage last season by Polish giants, Legia Warsaw and will be hoping to go one step further this time.
The second leg will be played a week tomorrow at the Corbett Sports Stadium, Rhyl.
The match will also be shown live on S4C from 17:45 GMT.
