The New Saints FC is extremely honoured to be recognised by Oswestry Town Council as the organisation winner of the Civic Awards 2017.

The award was collected on our behalf by Operations Manager at The Venue, Matt Lee. The photograph below was taken at the presentation evening and features Mayor, Paul Milner, as well as the recipient of the individual award, Alan Metcalfe.

The organisation award for 2017 goes to a sporting club. It has redeveloped its facility at a cost of over £3million, has a state of the art 3G pitch and accommodates a major leisure development with extensive community use.

The organisation has an extensive scholarship partnership with North Shropshire College. It also has a Foundation which is a charitable organisation to provide positive, sustainable, football, sports and educational activities.

The trophy cabinet of this club is always full, including the historic treble of Welsh Champions, Welsh Cup winners and Welsh League Cup winners.
