With Scott Ruscoe continuing to strengthen his squad, The New Saints FC is pleased to announce that, following the signing of Keston Davies, ex-Tranmere Rovers defender, Adam Hughes, has now also joined the ranks.
Having started his football career at Prenton Park, where he spent 10 years until the age of 16, Adam went on to play for the likes of Cammell Laird, Marine FC, and Warrington Town. In addition, he played in the National League North for Vauxhall Motors.
It was while playing for Marine that he featured in the same team as ex-TNS FC legend, Pip Baker, whose positivity regarding the club was a key influence on Hughes.
“I was a bit overwhelmed to be honest.” Adam told us, when we asked him about signing for the champions of Wales. “It’s not every day that a full-time club wants you to go in and play for them. Coming from that environment at Tranmere, it’s something that you dream about as a kid. I’m just made up that I’ve got the chance to go on and prove myself.”
Welcome to The New Saints FC, Adam!
