Talented TNS FC youngster, Ben Clark, has today signed for fellow JD Cymru Premier side, Caernarfon Town, on loan. The deal, which extends until December 31, 2019, sees Clark head once again to the north Wales coast, following a similar move last season with Llandudno FC.
Although Ben hasn’t featured yet for The New Saints this season in the top flight – with injury not helping his cause – he has been on the bench eight times, with his most recent inclusion in the squad, the trip to the Deeside Stadium, where TNS drew 1-1 with Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Speaking to us, following the completion of the paperwork, Clark was full of optimism at the prospect of the switch, albeit a short one: “I’m really looking forward to joining a very good Caernarfon side. They have shown how dangerous they can be against the top teams in the league.
They’ve had a great start and have shown that they will be pushing for a European place this season. Also, getting some minutes under my belt will help my development as a young footballer and will allow me to gain more experience playing men’s football.
Ben went on to conclude, “I hope that during my time at Caernarfon they continue to achieve good results and hopefully I will strengthen the squad and improve the side.”
We also asked manager, Scott Ruscoe, for his thoughts: “Ben has joined Caernarfon on loan, where game time will certainly help his fitness and development. He’s going into an already very good squad, with a young, hungry manager to learn from. It will benefit both parties,” he told us.
