LATEST NEWS

After the final whistle in the game against a Salford City XI on Tuesday just gone, our final question to Scott Ruscoe was whether he had done his transfer business or was there likely to be further movement.

His reply confirmed the latter and that he was hoping to get one more over the line. That has proved to be the case and we are therefore pleased to announce that Kwame Boateng has signed a contract with the club.

London-born, the twenty-one year old defender spent four years with Bradford City, making a couple of appearances in the senior side during the 2016/2017 season. Following spells at the likes of Guiseley and Harrogate Town, the energetic right-back joins The New Saints ahead of the new JD Cymru Premier season, which begins tomorrow (Saturday, September 12).

Kwame will wear the number 31 shirt and is eligible for the JD Cymru Premier MD1 game against Barry Town United.

Prior to leaving Park Hall for south Wales with the team, in advance of tomorrow’s game, we chatted with Kwame and you can watch that below.

On behalf of everyone at The New Saints FC, we extend a very warm welcome to Kwame.

The lead image is a behind-the-scenes insight, as Brian Jones captured a head and shoulders shot this morning prior to training at Park Hall.
