It’s JD Cymru Premier action for The New Saints on Saturday (October 22), as we host Pontypridd United on MD12.
The teams – who occupy first and eleventh places respectively – have already met once this season.
The game at USW Sport Park on September 3, saw the visitors register a 2-0 victory against the newly-promoted Dragons.
Just before the one-third stage, the deadlock was broken when Declan McManus converted from the penalty spot.
We had to wait forty minutes for the second, with Ryan Brobbel finding the net in style.
Although in a relegation spot, it’s very tight at the bottom and with just two points separating five sides, Pontypridd won’t be despondent regarding their current position.
Finding the net has been the problem so far though for the south Walians, having scored just eight goals – the same as bottom club, Airbus UK Broughton, who are thirteen points adrift of safety.
At the other end, it’s The New Saints who lead the way, with gaps of four, five and eight points over second, third and fourth respectively.
In addition, Craig Harrison’s side has a game in hand.
The referee for Saturday’s match is Iwan Griffith and he will be assisted by Bryn Jones and Cilan Thomas.
Robert Jenkins is the fourth official and Nigel Richards the referee observer.
The game gets underway at 2.30 p.m. and we look forward to welcoming you at Park Hall.
If you’re not at Park Hall in person, you can follow the action on TNS Radio. The link can be found on the club website as well as our Facebook page.
