This Saturday (January 21), we welcome Bala Town to Park Hall in the final game before the JD Cymru Premier season splits.

For those who are unaware, once all teams have played each other twice the remaining games are between the top six (Championship Conference) and the bottom half-dozen (Play-0ff Conference) who all play home and away against each other.

With The New Saints sitting comfortably at the top of the table, Craig Harrison will be looking to ensure that his side at the very least maintains the current gap of thirteen points.

Having played Bala Town once already this season, the trip to Maes Tegid was a very happy one indeed for The New Saints, when the three points were secured courtesy of a 5-0 win.

The visitors got off to a great start, when Ben Clark opened the scoring in the fifth minute. Adam Wilson doubled the lead eleven minutes later and that was the score come the half-time whistle.

Second-half goals from Josh Daniels, Declan McManus and Wilson (again) ensured that by the sixtieth minute the game was well and truly beyond the reach of Bala Town.

The Lakesiders currently occupy third spot, although they are trailing The New Saints by seventeen points. In addition, although they are the league’s second highest scorers with 42, they are considerably behind the league leaders, who have found the net 80 times.

Defence-wise, The New Saints have conceded 8 while the Bala Town rearguard has been beaten on 18 occasions.

The officials for Saturday’s game are as follows: Iwan Griffith (referee), Johnathon Bebee-Bryant and Harry Hendricks (assistant referees) with Huw Jones the fourth official. The referee observer is Nathan Brearley.

The New Saints will be wearing green and white hooped shirts, white shorts and socks, while the visitors will be in all-red.

The goalkeepers will be all-blue and all-burgundy respectively.
