As the JD Cymru Premier season draws towards its final conclusion, we begin the first of three away games on the bounce with a trip to Newtown AFC.

Having already secured the title, The New Saints travel to Latham Park with a lead of seventeen points at the top of the table and a gap of thirty-three ahead of the Robins, who currently occupy sixth place.

The goal difference swing between the two sides is a massive 83, as the visitors are plus-82 compared to Newtown’s minus-1.

However, once that initial whistle goes on Saturday (April 1, 2.30 p.m.), the form book will count for nothing as we know that Chris Hughes’ team is always a tough opponent.

In the four games between the sides in all competitions this season, although TNS has wins of 7-0 and 4-1, there was also a narrow 1-0 victory, as well as the fixture that saw both launch their JD Cymru Premier campaigns last August, which ended 0-0.

The Robins will be in all-red on Saturday, with their goalkeepers in all-green. Craig Harrison’s team will be wearing green and white hooped shirts, white shorts and socks, with the ‘keepers in blue shirts, blue shorts and black socks.

Alex McInch is the appointed referee and he will be assisted by Ashley Davis and Matthew Johnson. John Jones is the fourth official and Nigel Richards the referee observer.
