There’s silverware on the line for The New Saints this weekend, as they take on Swansea City in the final of the Nathaniel MG Cup. 

Saturday’s game at Jenner Park will be The Saints’ first appearance in the final of this competition since 2018, when they defeated Cardiff Metropolitan University 1-0 at Park Avenue.

Knocked out in the early stages in recent years, this time around, the league leaders have put together a run that’s seen them defeat Connah’s Quay Nomads, Porthmadog, Gresford Athletic and Guilsfield along the way to set-up an intriguing clash against the English Championship side.

Once training had finished earlier today, head coach, Craig Harrison, held his latest pre-match press conference to preview the match in South Wales.

Discussing the impact of freezing temperatures across Wales this week, his own experiences of playing in cup competitions, and the thought process that goes into his team selection, the former Middlesborough defender also provided an update regarding injury and availability.

On top of that, there were also questions about the unknown quantity Swansea City provide, and the good run of form the team are currently enjoying.
