The New Saints have reinforced their commitment to the women’s and girls’ game by appointing the club’s Academy Manager, Kieran Lee-Birch, as head coach of the women’s team, supported by Jack Ellis and Mikey Harris, all experienced UEFA A Licence coaches.

The appointments reflect the club’s strategy of applying the same high-performance standards, long-term planning, and professional infrastructure that have driven sustained success in the men’s game and the boys’ academy to the women’s and girls’ pathway.

Speaking on his appointment, Lee-Birch said: “I’m proud to be appointed head coach of The New Saints Women. There’s a lot of good work already in place, and my focus is on building on that alongside Jack and Mikey, continuing to develop the players and pushing the team forward in a positive direction.”

Chief Operating Officer Ian Williams said: “The success of our men’s team and the strength of our boys’ academy provide a clear blueprint. As we conclude our Women and Girls five-year plan to 2025, our focus now turns to our 2030 vision – applying the same ambition, professionalism, and competitive mindset to the women’s and girls’ game so we can challenge domestically and compete in UEFA competitions.”

Chairman Mike Harris added: “We are proud to recruit from within and to create genuine opportunities for talented staff to progress. Kieran has consistently demonstrated the values, leadership, and standards we expect at this club, and this appointment reflects both our confidence in his ability and our commitment to developing people as well as players.”

The new structure will be in place for tomorrow’s match against Swansea City .
